There has been a clear "outdoor play deficit" among children and youth for many years, and a related lack of contact with green space, with all its consequences.

BOS+, Endeavour and Kind&Samenleving are developing a strategy for green play villages to get more children and youth playing outdoors.

Green play villages consist of both the formal green play areas, but equally important are the informal, often (temporarily) undesignated play and hangout areas and the connections between them.

In order to literally put green play areas back on the map, the team will work with the municipalities of Bree, Hamont-Achel and Pelt. For each municipality we will develop a vision and proceed to the realization of a green play area.
