Because of its history and location in the city, the Fabelta site is a well-known spot for many Ninovites. We developed a way to talk to children about the site and what their dream neighbourhood would look like.

The place is not on the mental map of children and young people today, which is why we asked them to project strengths and weaknesses onto the Fabelta site from their perception of Ninove.

The children and youth were challenged to reflect on various spatial configurations that they know from their everyday surroundings.

On the basis of a site visit, we tried to draw up a possible future image for the site using the puzzle pieces of the children's ideal neighbourhood.
